There are at the present time eighteen kids bouncing, jumping and playing in the barn. There are eleven bucks and six does. Check out the pictures of some of the kids. There is one more doe to deliver which should be sometime late February.
The kids are high percentage Boer to 100% Boer and are available for sale as 4H goats. They are not registered but are marked well and have great dispositions. All bucks have been dehorned, and the kids have received their first round of CDT shots. They will be banded, weaned, and ready to leave the farm by the end of March. The six does are marked very well and have great dispositions. Two of the does are 75% Boer and 25% Alpine. They would make a great addition in a breeding herd as they have a good milking background. All of the kids are worked with and are very used to people.
In past years kids from the farm have been shown in Blair, Huntingdon, and Bedford counties. One of the wethers was the reserve champion of Blair County in 2007. Any of these kids would make a great 4H project, pet or an addition to a breeding herd. If you are interested in looking at or reserving one for purchasing please contact us. Several of the kids have already been reserved.
